Sun Valley, also known as Windows 10 version 21H2, is a major feature update for the operating system. Code screenshots have now revealed another intriguing new Windows 10 feature.
Power & Sleep settings can gain new options as a result of this feature. As seen in the screenshot above, it appears that the auto-locking of the screen can be set to happen after 10 seconds, 30 seconds, or 2 minutes of human absence. In the presence of a person, auto-locking time out can occur after 10 seconds, 30 seconds, or 2 minutes.
It will also be possible to set the distance at which auto screen locking and unlocking will occur when a person is present. The choices in US measurement are 1 ft, 2.5 ft, and 4 ft forward. 0.35 m, 0.6 m, and 1.2 m away are the choices in the metric system.
When users need to leave their seats, the feature may be extremely useful in corporate environments, as the PC would automatically lock itself when it senses their absence. When users return, the screen will unlock when it detects their presence and prompt them to enter their Id and password.
The big feature update for 2021 is expected to be Windows 10 21H2. It will include various UI updates as well as numerous new features. Three secret features were recently reported on. The new 21H2 preview build includes device use, Windows Spotlight, and Touch Keyboard customization.
