Mi MIX FOLD sets an important new milestone for Smartphones with a series of world premiers, Xiaomi Surge C1 ISP and Liquid Lens.
With the launch of Mi Mix Fold, Xiaomi finally got into the foldable smartphone market. The world has not yet seriously entered the foldable car, but many companies are launching their smartphones. The phone is identical to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 2, the Xiaomi phone has a U-shaped hinging feature, which folds in. Interestingly enough, Xiaomi's patented Surge C1 Image Signal Processors (ISP) and Liquid Lens technology also feature the Mi Mix Fold. In addition, this Xiaomi system has a few fascinating features, which is more than a single foldable smartphone.
Specifications and Features of Mi Mix Fold
The Mi Mix Fold has an 8.01-inch WQHD+ flexible OLED display, which has a U-shaped hinge configuration and is folded inwardly. This display is HDR10+ compatible with 1860 x 2480 pixel resolution, 60 Hz refresher rate, 4:3 aspect ratio, 387 PPI pixel density, 900 pixels high light, and 85.9 percent screen-to-body connection.
A 6.52-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 840 pixels, a rate of refreshments of 90 Hz, an aspect ratio of 27:9, and a peak light of 700 nits is shown at the front display or cover display of the smartphone.
Any foldable smartphone is most 'delicate' or 'risky' because of the hinge and the screen area on the device's hinges. The Mi Mix Fold has been checked in reliability tests on approximately 200,000 twists and in extreme reliability checks on up to one million twists. The interior monitor follows the requirements of Dolby Vision, has a color range of DCI-P3, and an overview of 4,300,000:1.
The LPDDR5 RAM has up to 16 GB and UFS 3.1 stores up to 512 GB. In addition to other methods of heat dissipation, Xiaomi has also included a butterfly-type cooling system which has a VC liquid cooling system, thermal, and graphite sheets.
Now it has a triple camera system on its back to the camera sensors on its smartphone. The main camera is the Samsung HM2 108-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary camera is the ultrawide 13-megapixel camera sensor with a 123-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. Finally, an 8-megapixel Liquid Lens camera is available as well. A 20-Megapixel camera sensor is also included in the handset.
The Surge C1 ISP technology it integrates is another highlight of the Mi Mix Fold. For the past couple of years, technology has been in progress. The processor is the proprietary technology of the business that can produce high performance while at the same time consuming fewer resources. It also provides a better 3A algorithm and low-light focus capacities to achieve more reliable autofocus, self-exposure, and automotive white balance.
The Mi Mix Fold uses liquid lens technology in addition to Surge C1 ISP technologies. The technology is believed to use the human eye bionics concept and shapes a lens-like structure in the film-wrapped transparent fluid. The phone has also a high-precision engine to adjust the sphere's curvature radius in order to have a three-point optical zoom, 30-point photos, and a three-cm minimum focal distance.
Smartphone link options are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C. A fingerprint reader is also available on the phone. It also uses Harman Kardon's quad-speaker, which is powered by Xiaomi's own algorithm for quad speakers. It claims that 3D playback of the audio field in space is supported.
The mobile is also flippable with a ceramic texture in the back of the Corning Gorilla glass protection. A new Mi Mix Fold Ceramic Special edition has also been released by the company and essentially the same smartphone with the gold medium frame and the volume keys, along with a specially graved black-ceramic back.

The dual cell, 5.020mAh battery, supports 67W Fast Charging, is used for running the two displays of this smartphone. In 37 minutes the company claims that the telephone is completely charged. The telephone is folded 173.27 to 133.38 to 7.62 meters and 173.27 to 69.8 meters and 173.27 meters to 17.2 meters. The handset is 317 g, and the ceramic special version is 332 g.
Pricing & Availability of Mi Mix Fold
The Mi Mix Fold was unveiled in China for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage option with an initial price tag of CNY 9,999 (approx. 1.12,100 Rs.).
The 12 GB + 512 GB version storage model is sold at 10,999 CNY (approx Rs. 1,23,300).
The 16 GB + 512 GB storage system sold to CNY 12.999 is the most expensive smartphone of this series (approx Rs. 1,45,700).
The Mi Mix Fold will be available in China for customers on April 16th, and device pre-ordering will be launched in China on March 30th.
