IPL 2021 PLAYERS LIST LIVE. MAXWELL SOLD FOR 14.25 CRORES. MORRIS SAYS KEEP CALM AND WATCH MY BID.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 player auction will take place in Chennai. A total of 292 players will be under the hammer at the auction. All eight franchises will look to strengthen their squad with big players like Steve Smith, Aaron Finch, Alex Hales on their way. India's veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and Test Specialist Cheteshwar Pujara have also registered for the auction. The Punjab Kings, who have recently changed their name from Kings XI Punjab, is going to auction with the largest purse—53.20 crore, looking to fill nine spots, including five overseas signatures. SunRisers Hyderabad has three slots to fill—a minimum of all eight teams.

STEVE SMITH WAS THE FIRST PLAYER TO BE SOLD FOR DELHI CAPITALS AT 2.20 CR.


Australia's all-rounder Glenn Maxwell receives KKR's opening bid for Rs 2 Crore and is joined by RCB. The bid moves quickly between the two sides and has gone beyond Rs 4.4 crore.

As KKR pulls out, CSK enters the bid and takes over Rs 5 crore. CSK is going all out for Maxwell and the bid has reached Rs 6 crore. RCB will not go down soon and submit their bid to Rs 6.25 crore and CSK will go immediately to Rs 6.50. The battle here for the Aussie is getting intense. The bid reached Rs 9 crore with CSK leading the race. CSK has offered Rs 10 crore to Maxwell. It's a see-saw between the two sides, with neither of them going back down.



FINALLY, MAXWELL WAS SOLD TO ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE FOR 14.25 CR.


SAKIB AL HASAN WAS SOLD TO KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS FOR 3.20 CR.


MOEEN ALI WAS SOLD TO CHENNAI SUPER KINGS FOR 7 CR.


SHIVAM DUBE WAS SOLD TO 4.40 CR.



Chris Morris is the most expensive buy-in IPL history! Chris Morris gets the battle going between Mumbai Indians and his former employers Royal Challengers Bangalore. He proved his worth last season and two sides are going big for him. The bid has already reached Rs 7 crore with neither of the teams showing signs of backing down. Mumbai Indians have bid Rs 8 crore for the South African all-rounder and RCB has increased their bid but the defending champions have made it Rs 9 crore. RCB goes for Rs 9.25 crore but Mumbai makes it Rs 9.50 crore. With the bid beyond Rs 10 crore, Rajasthan Royal enter the bidding war and take it beyond Rs 11.25 crore, forcing Mumbai to rethink its plan. Mumbai Indians have now bid Rs 12.50 crore. Rajasthan Royals make it Rs 12.75 crore and Mumbai Indians make it Rs 13 crore but RR increases their bid to Rs 13.25 crore. We have a new bidder here with Punjab Kings bidding Rs 13.50 crore for the South African all-rounder, Rajasthan Royals make it Rs 13.75 after some deliberation but Punjab Kings bid Rs 14. crore straightaway. The bidding is beyond Rs 16 crore with both teams in no mood to back down. Morris becomes the most expensive player in the IPL history as he goes to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore.

DAWID MALAN WAS SOLD TO PUNJAB KINGS FOR 1.50 CR.


ADAM MILNE WAS SOLD TO MUMBAI INDIANS FOR 3.20 CR.


MUSTAFIZUR RAHMAN SOLD TO RAJASTHAN ROYALS FOR 1 CR.


YOUNG TEEN JHYE RICHARDSON WAS SOLD TO PUNJAB KINGS FOR 14 CR.

Jhye Richardson gets the bidding war going among franchises with his base price set at Rs 1.50 crore. The battle is between Delhi Capitals and RCB. Both teams seem keen on his services and the bidding has reached Rs 5 crore. With RCB bidding Rs 7.25, Delhi Capitals bow out but Punjab Kings enter the fray to make things interesting. The bidding has gone up to Rs 9 crore by Punjab Kings. RCB increase their bid forcing Punjab Kings to bid higher and they do that without battling any eyelids. The bid currently stands at Rs 12 crore with Punjab Kings and they increase it further to Rs 13 crore after RCB makes a couple of moves. He an intense bidding war Jhye Richardson goes to Punjab Kings for Rs 14 crore.

UMESH YADAV WAS SOLD TO DELHI CAPITALS FOR 1 CR.


PIYUSH CHAWLA WAS SOLD TO MUMBAI INDIANS FOR 2.40 CR.
