The Asus Zenfone 8 series is now available for purchase. On May 12, Asus will announce the next wave of mainstream premium phones, with the teaser tagline implying that a portable flagship—likely the Asus Zenfone 8 Mini—is on the way.

The announcement of the Asus Zenfone 8 series has gotten a lot of attention. In September, Asus released the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro, and the company is already planning to release the next generation of premium phones in the series. The launch date for the new devices has now been announced by the manufacturer.
Asus announced the Zenfone 8 series would be launched on May 12 in a teaser image released yesterday. "Big on Performance, Compact in Size" is the tagline used in the image. That effectively confirms the existence of the Zenfone 8 Mini, a smartphone that has appeared on the front pages of tech publications several times in the last month.
The Zenfone 8 Mini's specifications are unknown, but it is expected to have a Snapdragon 888 processor and 8 GB of RAM, according to Geekbench. The Zenfone 8 Mini is supposed to have a 5.9-inch 120 Hz OLED camera. A few years back, it wouldn't have been called
lightweight, but things have changed.
